The job holder will play a lead role in ensuring the development of clinical staff both registered, unregistered and medical. The job holder will enable the development of clinical practice mentors, assessors and key trainers, providing supervision through on-site support and Trustwide continuous professional development activities. The post holder will be responsible for leading clinical education and associated resources in their designated clinical areas. The successful candidate will provide a high standard of education. The job holder will support the assessment of the quality of clinical and other practice learning environments, and implement interventions for improvement. The job holder will support mentors and assessors and ensure clinical professional development for preceptor ship and other role developments. They will enhance the quality of care delivery from both the registered and unregistered workforce. The post holder may be line managing a junior clinical educator depending on the clinical service unit. You will be expected to lead the midwifery / nursing contribution to service development, ensuring the pursuit of excellence in care. The job holder will lead on the implementation and monitoring of adherence to relevant clinical guidelines, audit and research. They will function as a role model for registered and unregistered staff within the clinical area and Trust, enabling and supporting the development of interdisciplinary and cross city working to ensure the sharing of good practice and delivery of high quality, effective and efficient care.
