Senior Bid Manager

We are a well-established and forward-thinking social housing contractor, delivering high-quality housing solutions across Kent and Hertfordshire. We’re now seeking an experienced Senior Bid Writer to join our team and take ownership of the full bid lifecycle.
The Role: This is a key role within our Business Development team, responsible for managing and leading end-to-end bid submissions for public sector contracts within the social housing space. You’ll work closely with directors, operational leads, and subject matter experts to develop compelling, compliant, and winning proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the entire bid process from inception to submission, including bid strategy, storyboarding, and submission logistics.
* Write, edit, and refine high-quality content that clearly articulates our value proposition, strengths, and service offering.
* Coordinate input across multiple stakeholders to gather content and evidence for bid responses.
* Analyse tender documents to understand requirements and tailor responses accordingly.
* Develop and maintain a knowledge library of reusable content and case studies.
* Work to tight deadlines while maintaining the highest quality standards.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Bid Writer or Bid Manager, ideally within the social housing, construction, or public sector.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously with minimal oversight.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail and persuasive storytelling.
* Strong organisational and project management skills.
* A collaborative mindset and the ability to work cross-functionally.
