Overview
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic individual to work within our busy service. You will be supported in this role by the Surgical Appliances Orthotics manager, working closely to develop and progress the Orthotics department. This role involves assisting the Surgical Appliances Manager in delivering the Surgical appliances service to patients across Barnet & Chase Farm sites. You will provide all aspects of administrative support for the Surgical appliance department across the Royal Free, Barnet & Chase Farm sites. The role aims to ensure a high quality, friendly and efficient frontline service to patients and staff, contributing to regular needs analysis, service review and effective management of patient complaints and queries.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Surgical Appliances Manager in the delivery of the Surgical appliances service to patients across Barnet & Chase Farm sites.
* Provide all aspects of administrative support for the Surgical appliance department across the Royal Free, Barnet & Chase Farm sites.
* Ensure a high quality, friendly and efficient frontline service to patients and staff, contributing to regular needs analysis, service review and effective management of patient complaints and queries.
* Work at the Orthotics department between Barnet and Chase Farm hospitals with occasional cross-site working at Royal Free hospital.
* Provide Orthotic clinics to patients, including Orthosis, Surgical Hosiery and Breast prostheses.
* Balance a variety of administrative tasks with clinical responsibilities; maintain excellent communication and adaptability to different environments; provide strong support to the Orthotics team.
* Cross cover is essential and, on occasion, you will be required to travel to different sites.
