Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated NVQ2 Qualified Dispenser to join our dispensary team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and efficient dispensing of medications, supporting patient care, and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. Duties
* Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and dispensary SOPs
* Assist with medication administration and provide guidance to patients on proper usage
* Support patient care activities, including counselling on medication adherence and addressing queries
* Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and update patient profiles accordingly
* Ensure stock levels are monitored and replenished as necessary, adhering to safety standards
* Comply with all legal, safety, and confidentiality requirements related to dispensing within general practice
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes and medication management
* Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the dispensary area to meet health and safety standards
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification recognised within the UK healthcare sector
* Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care principles
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors
* Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members
* Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional standards

About Us
Our practice is located within the beautiful Suffolk village of Wickhambrook between Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket and Haverhill, serving a patient population of approximately 5,200 patients, dispensing to nearly 100% of the practice population. Our traditional approach and family friendly ethos is very much appreciated by our patients.

* Located in Wickhambrook Suffolk, CB8 8XU. The practice runs from a purpose-built building. There is free car parking on site and nearby.
