An exciting career opportunity has arisen for a suitably motivated and enthusiastic individual to play a key role within the Highways Operational Team. As a support officer, you will provide essential administrative support to the Highway Managers and their teams across Kent in delivering highway-related projects. Responsibilities include liaising with other KCC Highway teams, preparing and collating Joint Transportation Board papers, organizing Parish Seminars, managing PPE orders and distributions, and other administrative duties such as minute-taking and maintaining good financial records. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering excellent customer service through high-quality communication skills.
This full-time role is based at Ashford Depot, Kent, with hybrid working arrangements. You may need to travel to other offices or depots to support the team of TSOs across the county.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing outstanding customer service, be a proven team player, and possess effective communication skills across diverse highway teams. Good computer literacy is essential. This position is customer-facing, and KCC requires candidates to have sufficient spoken English/Welsh skills as per statutory duties.
