The Opportunity
We are seeking a hardworking, motivated, and customer-focused Business Development Manager to join our expanding sales team. This role combines account management with new business development, offering excellent scope for growth within a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
The successful candidate will:
* Support existing customers while driving new business opportunities.
* Work closely with the Internal Sales Team and Product Line Managers.
* Build long-term relationships with clients, both remotely and face-to-face.
* Play an active role in strengthening our market presence within their designated region.
This role is ideally suited to someone with proven sales experience, preferably within one of our four product sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and develop new business opportunities within your territory.
* Build, manage, and maintain strong customer relationships.
* Understand and interpret customer requirements.
* Recommend products and services that meet client needs.
* Negotiate and close sales, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
* Represent the company professionally at meetings, site visits, and industry events.
* Travel within your region as required, including occasional overnight stays.
* Support Directors and the wider management team with additional tasks when needed.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven sales experience (ideally within Mechanical Power Transmission, Hydraulics, Agricultural Trailer Parts & Accessories, or Bespoke Products).
* A proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
* A confident communicator and team player, able to build strong relationships.
* IT proficiency, including MS Office (Excel & Outlook) and CRM systems.
* Enthusiastic, sales-driven, and motivated to succeed.
* Degree in Business or Mechanical Engineering is advantageous but not essential.
