Hays Education is recruiting on behalf of a leading special educational needs (SEN) school in Knowsley that provides outstanding support for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). Your new role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join this PMLD school on a full-time basis from September 2025. This is a temporary teaching role with the strong potential to be permanent, depending on performance and fit within the team. You will be responsible for planning and delivering a highly personalised and sensory-based curriculum to students withplex learning and physical needs. You will work closely with a team of teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff to ensure each pupil receives a holistic and engaging education tailored to their individual needs.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to register with Hays Education for SEND teaching jobs, you must:
1. Hold UK qualified teacher status
2. Have recent and relevant experience working within a classroom that we can reference
3. Have relevant experience (either personal or professional) working with SEN children.
4. Be an approachable and patient teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations
5. Have excellentmunication and interpersonal skills to quickly build effective relationships with students, parents and colleagues
