Description
This role is to work as part of the Portfolio Management team, which is a well‑established national team of junior fee‑earners who support our national Real Estate group. Our Real Estate group covers every aspect of commercial real estate work including development, investment, asset management, funding, construction, landlord and tenant, planning and environmental and dispute resolution. Clients include property management and development companies, health trusts and government bodies (local and central), owner-occupiers and institutions, both in the UK and overseas.
The team also has a proven track record in paralegal progression. We value our Portfolio Management team as an "incubation hub" for future talent and have seen 4 former paralegals qualify as solicitors in the last 12 months with in‑house professional‑development funding and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage your own files and interact with clients, predominantly serving telecoms operator clients.
* Prepare title and lease reports.
* Draft and negotiate leases, agreements and deeds.
* Provide general assistance to fee earners on a variety of client matters and offer general support.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Excellent academics including a 2.1 degree or better.
* Genuine interest in the law and property.
* Experience in Commercial Property is not essential but would be advantageous.
* Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to produce work to a high standard.
* Confident at building strong relationships with clients (internal and external) and third‑party contacts at all levels.
* Flexible, organised, self‑motivated team player able to work within the team to achieve common goals.
* Able to work under pressure to meet required deadlines.
