What do you need to succeed?
Our Hairdresser assists our care teams in providing an exceptional service, supporting the Reception and Lifestyles Teams.
This is a crucial position, central to the lives of the people we support, so good people skills are essential alongside strong organisational skills. If you have previous experience in the hair and beauty sector and an affinity for care, this is the role for you.
As a Hairdresser, your key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting residents with hair and beauty within the home.
* Supporting the Hospitality Manager with lifestyle activities within the home.
* Undertaking tasks professionally, reflecting the values of Oakland Care Group in a person-centred way.
To be successful in this role, you need to have/be:
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
* Qualification in hairdressing and beauty.
* Hold hair and beauty certificates.
* Minimum one (1) year of hair and beauty service experience preferred.
* Good knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
* Previous experience in a customer service environment.
* Knowledge of challenging behaviour/dementia awareness.
