To support our continual growth, we are searching for a Workshop Supervisor - Fabrication to join our Workshop team. This full-time permanent position will be based at our Welshpool Workshop.
About the opportunity
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for supervising all fabrication activities to ensure deadlines are met, completed accurately to specifications, and delivered to the highest quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Coordination of personnel to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency
* Leading, motivating and mentoring the team towards completion of works to deadlines
* Ensuring all works are completed to the required specifications, standards, and with correct documentation
* Managing employee competence and identifying areas for training
* Monitoring employee attendance and performance
* Ensuring the supply and maintenance of workshop tooling, machinery and equipment
* Driving safety culture and conducting daily pre-start toolbox meetings
* Investigating, reporting and addressing all incidents
* Promoting Minprovise values, vision, and purpose

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
* Trade qualification in Engineering Fabrication or equivalent (mandatory)
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar Supervisory role (mandatory)
* Demonstrated people management skills (mandatory)
* Experience with enforcing compliance and meeting deadlines (mandatory)
* Ability to interpret technical/engineering drawings and job execution packs (mandatory)
* A high level of mechanical aptitude with a thorough understanding of engineering (mandatory)
* Current Licence to Perform High Risk Work - LF, WP, DG, RB, RI, RA, CN (desirable)
