Main duties of the job
About the Role
Based atHMP Lowdham Grange, a Category B men’s prison, you’ll be a core member of a dynamic mental health team delivering a comprehensive service that spans both primary and secondary care.
You’ll:
* Provide safe, effective, and person-centred mental health care
* Support the Matron for Mental Health in service development
* Act as a role model for dignity, respect, and compassion
* Work collaboratively with prison staff and external agencies
* Hold a caseload and contribute to triage, care planning, and risk management

Qualifications
* • Registered Mental Health Nurse with a degree or diploma
* • Mentorship qualification and leadership training
Knowledge
* • Strong understanding of the Mental Health Act and complex needs
* • Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System and CPA
Experience
* • Experience in risk assessment and caseload management
* • Experience in substance misuse, dual diagnosis, or trauma-informed care
Skills
* • Excellent communication, leadership, and time management skills
