We are proud to be recruiting for an innovative new SEN school opening in Lancashire/Yorkshire, offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and passionate HLTA. This school specialises in supporting children and young people aged 11–16 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

Support teachers in planning and delivering tailored, high-quality lessons for students with SEN.
*
Provide targeted support and interventions to individuals and small groups.
*
Assist with the creation and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
*
Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment that engages all learners.
*
Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
*
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to promote student success.
*
Lead small group activities and learning sessions under teacher guidance.
*
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the school's inclusive practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
*
HLTA qualification – Essential.
*
Minimum of 3 years' experience working within SEN settings, ideally across at least two schools.
*
Confidence working with students with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), even if previous experience has been mainly with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
*
Willingness to assist with personal care tasks if required.
*
A valid DBS registered on the Update Service – Essential.
