Introduction: Our stunning care home, Grappenhall Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built 70-bed facility providing residential, nursing, and dementia care. We employ a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care, all paid at or above the national living wage.
Role Overview: We are seeking a kind, motivated, and organized Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the home. The role offers a 30-hour contract with an hourly rate of £11.44. Shift times are 0800-1400, with alternate weekends off.
Responsibilities:
1. Complete all daily and weekly cleaning schedules and sign necessary paperwork.
2. Follow guidance from the Head Housekeeper.
3. Contribute to maintaining the home's standards for Housekeeping.
4. Perform general cleaning tasks and other duties delegated by the Head Housekeeper.
5. Carry out laundry duties as required.
6. Ensure the working environment is hazard-free and be aware of equipment risks.
7. Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults in contact with the post holder.
Skills and Experience:
1. Previous non-domestic cleaning experience; experience in a care setting is beneficial.
2. Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
3. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and provide basic comments.
4. Effective communication with team members.
5. Reliability and trustworthiness.
