Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a deep understanding of food safety standards. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring a high standard of hospitality and service in our establishment. Your leadership skills will be essential in managing the kitchen team effectively while maintaining an organised and efficient workspace.
Duties
* Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
* Assist in menu planning, including seasonal specials and dietary options.
* Manage inventory levels of food supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery to customers.
* Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and kitchen operations.
* Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as needed to enhance efficiency.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Excellent culinary skills with the ability to prepare a variety of dishes.
* Leadership qualities with experience in supervising and managing a team effectively.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
* A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new recipes is highly desirable.
