We are seeking passionate and skilled social workers with at least two years’ post-qualification experience to manage complex cases and provide guidance to less experienced team members. About the Role As a Social Worker within our Family Support Services, you will:
* Manage a complex caseload involving high levels of risk, uncertainty and challenge.
* Mentor and support the development of newly qualified and less experienced Social Workers.
* Work within statutory frameworks and Bedford Borough Council’s policies and procedures.
* Engage directly with children, young people and their families to assess needs, plan interventions and deliver targeted support.
* Model best practice in line with the vision and aims of our service.
What We’re Looking For
* A qualified Social Worker with a minimum of two years’ experience in a statutory social work role.
* Direct experience working with children and families in CIN, CP, PLO and court proceedings.
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory guidance.
* A collaborative, reflective, and resilient approach to complex work.
* A commitment to supportive team working and continuous professional development.
