Job Description

We are looking for passionate individuals who want to make a difference in Early Years. Hatching Dragons will support you to gain qualifications in Early Years with our partners Shaping Lives, with opportunities for progression within the Hatching Dragons family.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
* Caring for children from 6 months to 5 years old: Ensuring their physical and emotional well-being, supporting their daily needs and development.
* Organisational, record-keeping, and planning skills: Maintaining accurate records of children's progress, tracking learning journeys, and planning activities aligned with developmental goals.
* Communication skills: Building relationships with children, colleagues, parents, and carers; effectively communicating children's progress, concerns, and needs.
* Willingness to learn and meet EYFS requirements: Committing to understanding and implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Child welfare & safeguarding: Promoting a safe environment, following policies to ensure children's well-being.
* Understanding early years education: Engaging children in learning experiences that support their growth beyond basic EYFS requirements.
* Adherence to operational policies and procedures: Following routines, guidelines, and health and safety protocols.

Training
Paragon Skills is a leading national Apprenticeship training provider supporting over 4,000 learners and 1,500 organisations. We have high success and achievement rates, an Ofsted Grade 2 Good rating, and an overall achievement rate of 71.4%, exceeding the national average of 65.6%. Learners are supported by a Personal Tutor, with dedicated check-ins and study time, enabling you to achieve the highest grades. On completing this 12-month apprenticeship, you will gain an Early Years Practitioner – Level 2 qualification.
