We are seeking a reliable, organised, and proactive Minibus Driver & Transport Coordinator to oversee the smooth operation of the school's transport services while driving a scheduled morning minibus route. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong coordination skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to manage day-to-day transport logistics in a busy school environment.
Transport Coordination
* Drive the school minibus on a scheduled morning route.
* Coordinate daily transport services, routes, and schedules.
* Maintain accurate records of vetted drivers and transport documentation.
* Liaise with drivers, parents, and external transport providers regarding services and queries.
* Arrange cover for driver absences to ensure continuity of service.
* Coordinate coach transport requirements for school trips and events.
* Manage unexpected transport issues and implement contingency arrangements when required.
Health & Safety
* Carry out routine vehicle safety checks and report defects promptly.
* Ensure minibuses are clean, safe, fuelled, and well maintained.
* Monitor vehicle equipment and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
* Support breakdown procedures and alternative transport arrangements where necessary.
* Maintain compliance with all driver safety and medical requirements.
Administration & Compliance
* Complete and monitor journey check sheets, mileage logs, and driver records.
* Ensure all drivers maintain accurate records and follow procedures.
* Complete MIDAS minibus driver training and refresher training every two years.

* Demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding and health & safety.
* Be confident dealing with operational issues calmly and efficiently.
* Hold a clean and appropriate driving licence (D1) for minibus driving.
