Where You Fit In
As our Water Resource Options & Resilience Planner you will coordinate the implementation of Yorkshire Water’s options development framework to support strategic water planning.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate the implementation of Yorkshire Water’s options development framework to support strategic water planning.
* Lead the review and update of the Water Supply Systems Strategy.
* Align and integrate planning frameworks across business functions.
* Ensure the programme meets regulatory and government expectations across engineering, cost, environment, and water safety.
* Manage a pipeline of opportunities and support commercial development.
* Identify and escalät risks, issues, and opportunities within the programme.
* Maintain strong relationships with regulators and external stakeholders.
* Ensure financial and commercial decisions align with company strategy.
* Interpret regulatory requirements to guide service and performance risk.
* Shape long‑term investment plans to meet performance and customer outcomes.
* Represent asset strategies and environmental obligations in business cases.
* Monitor and control expenditure in partnership with finance teams.
* Contribute to team performance by linking individual goals to wider objectives.
* Manage priority projects effectively and deliver results.
Skills & Qualifications
* Strong understanding of water supply systems and water resources planning.
* Technical knowledge of water distribution networks.
* Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography).
* Solid grasp of UK water policy, regulation, and legislation.
* Proven experience in data compilation, analysis, interpretation, and communication.
* Ability to manage conflicting priorities and balance stakeholder needs effectively.
* Proficient in IT systems, with experience analysing complex datasets.
* Demonstrated project management experience.
* Track record of driving sustainable performance against challenging targets.
* Full UK driving licence.
