We are currently recruiting a Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing electrical maintenance and repair services across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the Helpdesk team, including fault finding, testing, repair, and preventative maintenance of electrical building services equipment.
* Ensure routine maintenance meets and exceeds service level agreements for all building plant, equipment, and systems.
* Work on single‑phase and three‑phase systems, fire alarm testing, lighting, power, UPS systems, and other electrical duties.
* Produce detailed technical quotations, ensuring correct parts, labour times, profitability, cost control and client satisfaction.
* Maintain strict compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
* Keep detailed records of all maintenance work performed.
* Escalate issues to Supervisor/Contract Manager immediately.
* Collaborate effectively with a skilled team to achieve client objectives.
* Coordinate with specialist sub‑contractors and engineers to ensure efficient plant operation without client disruption.
* Form part of the out‑of‑hours call‑out rota and attend emergency repair works as required.
Skills and Experience
* Experience on single‑phase and three‑phase systems, fire alarm testing, lighting, power, UPS systems.
* Sound fault‑finding skills on all electrical plant/systems.
* Outstanding communication and teamwork capabilities.
* Demonstrated expertise in commercial facilities maintenance.
* Exceptional problem‑solving skills and strong attention to detail.
* Ability to operate SMART devices and complete electronic documentation.
* Strong fault‑finding experience essential; work on both traditional plant equipment and modern systems.
* Carry out work in a safe and diligent manner.
Specific Qualifications
* City & Guilds / SNVQ - Electrical Installation / Maintenance or equivalent.
* City & Guilds 2382/18th Edition IEE.
* Time‑served apprenticeship or equivalent training.
* Demonstrable knowledge of building services engineering.
* Testing and Inspection certification desired.
* Clear understanding of Electricity at Work safe working practices.
* Knowledge and experience of BMS, generator, control, lighting systems, and ACOPS L8.
* IPAF/PASMA (beneficial).
* Contract specific vetting – DBS, financial and employment background checks.
