Purchasing Assistant Job in Christchurch Our client is a well-established and successful manufacturing business who export globally. They are looking for a capable Purchasing Assistant to support their purchasing function in meeting the company’s day-to-day requirements. This will involve helping to source materials, obtaining quotations from preferred suppliers, raising purchase orders, expediting timely deliveries, as well as assisting with supplier management. Also, carrying out some general administration duties. This Purchasing Assistant role would suit a candidate with experience of working in a purchasing environment as well as manufacturing knowledge. The role will require the ability to work accurately in a busy environment, as well as having good communication skills to create strong relationships with both internal colleagues and external suppliers.
