Our story starts in France in the 1980s, when we created the first ever quick-frozen part-baked baguette. Since then, Délifrance has never stopped developing bakery, patisserie and savoury for foodservice providers, retailers and bakers.
We are looking for a Operational Excellence Technologist to join us at our Southall (UB2 4SB) site in West London.
Main responsibilities:
* With the Operational excellence Manager, drive, coordinate and support Site and Group strategy development of Roadmap with governance
* Drive group CI culture requirements, e.g. SIMs, 8D / 5Whys, RCA engagement, SIM audits, White belt training
* Proactively improve plant efficiency through OEE monitoring on performance, availability, quality with use of Pareto analysis for identifying DMAIC and A3 methodology projects along with group requirements. Coaching to teams
* Support and maintain the Power-Bi data base systems and contribute to development of other similar systems
* Use of practical key CI tools to improve performance such as change over time reduction (SMED), 5S, Visual Management, Poke Yoke, 7 Wastes analysis, Value stream mapping, loss analysis, Hour x hour, etc through team engagement
* Engage in NPD trials processes for all new products.
* Define and document control the machinery settings for new products and continuously improve the machinery settings for better safety, quality and performance.
* Support Operational Excellence financial Roadmap for monitoring of projects
* Participate in the integration of new equipment or operating methods, data preparation for supporting capital projects and methods
* Maintain and improve manufacturing databases on data integrity focus (efficiency, products, settings, quality, engineering etc) and manage data onto Power-Bi dashboard
Required skills and competencies:
* Yellow belt Six Sigma trained with potential for possibly improving to Green belt
* Ideally Food safety, IOSHH and HACCP qualified
* Essentialminimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar role, desirable applied experience in bakery industry sector
* Ability to work on own initiative and with autonomy.
* Experience in managing projects preferably related to operational efficiency / operational excellence or NPD
* Essential proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, essential knowledge of conducting quality control tests. Computer literate (particularly Power-Bi with Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Access). Good knowledge of Excel power queries, power pivot and KPI dashboards
* Excellent analytical, organisational, administrative and coordinating skills
* Essential excellent written and verbal communication and problem solving, desirable the ability to prioritise
