The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Plymouth area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.
Shifts: 40 hours a week across Monday to Sunday
Hours: 01:00am - 05:00am starts through week, Sunday is 11am - 12pm starts
Pay Rate: £14.60- £15.61 per hour PAYE
Location: Plymouth, PL6
Job Type: Permanent
The role:
* Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to and from sub depots and delivery units.
* Handling runs with 1-5 delivery stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
* Utilise tail lift and pump truck equipment for loading and unloading.
* Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
* Empty the vehicle and refuel at the end of each shift.
* Complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and then complete a few days paid training if assessment is successful.
Requirements:
* Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
* Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
* No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
* Full understanding of WTD legislation.
* Ability to operate tail lift and pump truck equipment.
* Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
* Excellent communication skills.
* A safety-first mindset.
