Finance Director – Drive Growth at a Market Leader in Cleaning & Hygiene Solutions
Location: Shrewsbury, Shropshire
Salary: £100,000 – £125,000 (negotiable) bonus car allowance/company car benefits
Our client, a long-established market leader in the cleaning and hygiene solutions sector, is seeking a commercially astute Finance Director to join its Senior Leadership Team. With over 45 years’ experience, the business partners with organisations across the UK including hospitals, schools, manufacturing facilities and offices to improve cleanliness, reduce costs and enhance sustainability.
This is more than a finance role; it is a strategic leadership position with influence across the business, driving innovation and fostering a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities
* Direct and inspire Finance (6), IT (3), and HR (1) teams.
* Oversee the delivery of accurate management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
* Model long-term scenarios to guide sustainable growth and product development.
* Maintain the company risk register and implement mitigation plans.
* Review and improve internal controls, processes, and compliance.
* Provide senior leaders with financial analysis to guide decision-making.
* Ensure systems are integrated and aligned with business performance.
* Champion open communication and collaboration across the business.
Requirements
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
* Experience in a senior finance role (Finance Director or senior Financial Controller).
* Strong commercial acumen with advanced Excel and ERP skills.
* A natural leader who mentors and develops others.
* Excellent communicator — confident at board level and with teams.
* Able to balance strategic vision with hands-on delivery.
