Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Commissioning Engineer located in Blackburn. Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Commissioning Engineer will be required to undertake and supervise all aspects of work related to Commissioning and Installation works undertaken by the company in accordance with the company's documented safe system of work. What a typical day looks like: You will carry out all aspects involved in the build commissioning/maintenance works undertaken by the company including the commissioning works in house and on site; Develop and execute first of kind (FOK) testing alongside the commissioning manager and technical team; Assist with the integration of equipment within modular solutions and liaise with contractors on commissioning aspect of the project; Completing the necessary certificates for handover to client and witness testing and associated documentation, as required; Monitoring the works and providing reports as necessary as to project status; Efficiently and effectively work with other employees/contractors engaged in works on behalf of the company; Testing/Commissioning of modular solutions and associated LV Switchgear; Contribute views on designs and construction; Without compromising quality, health, safety or the environment' efficiently carry out commissioning tasks to maximize the profits of the company; Keep pace with change to identify and tackle new risk management challenges; Target 'zero harm' to ultimately eliminate defects, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and pollution; Communicate performance to promote the benefits of effective risk management; At all times and in all respects conforming to and complying with the proper and reasonable directions and regulations of the company; Be aware of the quality, health, safety and environmental (QHSE) matters related to the works in hand; Communicate and promote QHSE compliance requirements; Help improve engineer's knowledge and training; Highlight areas of concern and report to management; Ensure PPE is used correctly and is in good condition; Ensure work equipment is used correctly and is in good working order. The experience we're looking to add to our team: The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, must be self-motivated, enthusiastic and conscientious with a high standard of attention to detail. They must be able to work accurately to deadlines in a busy and pressurised environment and demonstrate flexibility; Preferably an electrician, with proven knowledge and experience in LV Switchgear; Data Centre experience is desirable; Valid Manual Handling Awareness Certificate; Current and relevant ECS card; Eligible to work in UK.
