SEN Teaching Assistant – Fleetwood Primary School

Are you a confident and enthusiastic individual with experience in Sports Coaching or Youth Work? Do you have a passion for supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and a desire to make a lasting impact in a primary school setting?
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a well-regarded Primary School in Fleetwood, looking to appoint a dynamic and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.
This role is particularly well-suited to someone with a sports coaching, youth work, or behaviour mentoring background, who can bring energy, structure, and positive behaviour support to the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and social/emotional needs
* Assisting the class teacher with behaviour management strategies
* Delivering targeted interventions, including movement-based and outdoor learning
* Encouraging pupil engagement and helping develop confidence and independence
* Acting as a positive role model both in and out of the classroom
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has experience working with children or young people in sports, youth work or mentoring roles
* Can remain calm and supportive under pressure
* Is physically active, energetic and able to engage pupils in structured activities
* Has strong communication and teamwork skills
* Holds (or is willing to apply for) an enhanced child workforce DBS

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
