The Role
Lecturer in Accounting & Finance for the BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Requires flexibility to teach weekdays, evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and assess student work to meet learning outcomes.
* Develop, update and improve course materials.
* Use a variety of teaching methods and materials.
* Engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and administrative duties.
* Keep up to date with developments in the field and student support practices.
* Work towards objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression.
Qualifications
* Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable).
* Previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area.
* Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
* Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
* Accurate reporting and record-keeping.
* Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills.
* Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
Desirable
* Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years, or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent).
* Experience designing/developing academic or professional education programmes.
