Job Title: IT Infrastructure Engineer (Classified)
Fixed Term Contract until Dec 2027
Location: Due to the secure network required, this role will be based on-site at one of our locations in Yeovil, London, Gloucester, Leeds, or Guildford. Travel to other sites will also be necessary.
What you’ll be doing
You will maintain and manage classified and non-classified infrastructure, ensuring high performance and availability of networks and systems. Responsibilities include supporting users, resolving incidents, managing hardware and software, and providing technical input for infrastructure changes. You will work with platforms such as Linux, Windows, VMware, and Citrix.
Your skills and experiences
Proven experience in infrastructure support, with expertise in Linux, Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server, VMware, and networking. Certifications such as RHCSA/RHCE, MCSA/MCSE, or CCNA are preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.
Candidates must already hold UK Security Clearance (UKSC) to be considered for the role and be a UK national eligible to obtain DV clearance.
Education / Experience: at least two of the following (or equivalent):
* RHCSA / RHCE (preferred)
* MCSA / MCSE (preferred)
* CCNA / CCDA
* VCP
* 3-5 years’ experience working in a busy IT department or relevant work experience.
