Salary: £25,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Rota: Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 4.30pm, Friday 8.30am – 4.00pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

Role and Purpose
As Wellbeing Mentor you would provide appropriate guidance and intervention for all students as part of the Pastoral Team while safeguarding students at all times.
Key Responsibilities
* Be actively involved in the support and monitoring of students’ behaviour.
* Assist and manage the return of students to the classroom.
* Implement agreed strategies to manage and improve learner behaviour.
* Support learners to identify and remove barriers to learning.
* Manage a cohort of learners, holding 1:1 sessions weekly.
* Deliver Zones of Regulation sessions 1:1 or in small groups.
* Agree and write learner action plans.
* Monitor and analyse learner behaviour using the online system (Sleuth).
* Provide on-call support to teaching staff when appropriate.
* Liaise with teaching staff to support teaching and learning.
* Support learners in following school rules and reinforce behaviour expectations.
* Assist in organising a rewards system for the school.
* Work with the Pastoral and Wellbeing Lead to develop strategies to improve behaviour across the school.
* Coach learners on emotional regulation and self-management.
* Aid learners with transition periods in school life.
* Help learners increase confidence and self-esteem by listening and devising appropriate strategies.
About the Organization
The Grange Therapeutic School is an independent school for students aged 8–18 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. It is based in a Victorian country house near Oakham with facilities to support educational and social-emotional needs. Ofsted currently rates behaviour as “Outstanding”.
