FTI Consulting is seeking high-caliber individuals for the 2026 Industry Placement | Construction Projects & Assets, London. This role is within the Forensic and Litigation Consulting practice, Construction, Projects & Assets team.


About The Role

FTI Consulting is a global business involved in complex investigations combining risk advisory, investigative and disputes expertise to deliver holistic solutions for our clients. The Construction, Projects & Assets practice offers a broad range of expert, dispute advisory services to assist owners, contractors and law firms in the prevention, management, and resolution of construction disputes, and to improve project delivery and performance. We operate across construction, engineering, industrial and related sectors and provide expertise to help clients resolve disputes, improve construction project delivery, and develop processes that ensure improved schedules and project financial performance.

Together we work on the most complex and largest projects around the world. The services include claims advisory and quantum and delay expert witness services, in support of major construction claims, and dispute resolution through ADR, arbitration and litigation.

The UK & Europe Construction, Projects & Assets practice operates through a network of offices including London, Glasgow, Dublin, Munich, Berlin, Frankfurt, Paris, Stockholm and Madrid, with additional teams in the Middle East. We have over 110 billable fee-earners and ambitious growth plans.


What You'll Do

FTI Consulting's Construction, Projects & Assets practice is seeking high-caliber individuals who are looking to establish a career in cost/quantum analysis, delay analysis, project advisory services and construction planning/scheduling.


Responsibilities

* Providing support to the Project Team or Expert Witness engaged in each matter.
* Interacting with other team members and professionals from other firms involved in the engagement.
* Organising information to facilitate effective data access and analysis.
* Maintaining detailed working records reflecting assumptions, methodologies, and sources of information used in analytical tasks.
* Working to deliver a quality product within established timeframes.
* Preparing draft written analyses and other reports in conjunction with the Project Team or Expert Witness.
* Supporting the Construction Analytics initiative to create efficient data management and technology-supported data analysis for clients and projects.


What You Will Need To Succeed

Basic Qualifications (or equivalent where applicable)

* Candidates must be interested in a 12-month placement running from September 2026 to August 2027 in our London office.
* Applicants should be studying a degree that allows for placement years, ideally between their penultimate and final year.
* Applicants must be studying a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Quantity Surveying.


Preferred Qualifications

* Excellent communication (written and verbal), mathematical, and organizational skills.
* Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
* Ability to interface with team members in demanding, deadline-driven situations.
* Ability and willingness to learn and adapt in an ever-changing environment to meet client's needs.
* Comply with the Hybrid working policy.
