Clinical Psychologist (Part-Time - 3 Days per Week)
Locations: Eastbourne / London
Working Pattern: 3 days per week (split across both services)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to support our children's residential services across Eastbourne and London on a part-time basis, working 3 days per week.
This role will focus on supporting children and young people in residential care who present with learning disabilities, complex needs, and associated mental health difficulties. You will work closely with residential teams to provide psychological input that promotes therapeutic, person-centred care and positive developmental outcomes.
The Role
* Conduct psychological assessments and develop tailored formulations for children and young people with learning disabilities and mental health needs
* Provide therapeutic interventions suited to children with a range of cognitive, emotional, and behavioural presentations
* Support young people experiencing anxiety, emotional dysregulation, trauma-related needs, and behavioural challenges
* Work collaboratively with Registered Managers and care teams to embed therapeutic approaches into daily care practice
* Support care planning, behaviour support strategies, and risk management processes
* Offer consultation, training, and reflective practice to staff teams
* Contribute to multi-agency working with families, social workers, education providers, and healthcare professionals
* Maintain accurate assessments, reports, and clinical documentation
About You
* Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent recognised qualification)
* Registered with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
* Experience working with children and young people with learning disabilities and/or complex mental health needs
* Understanding of neurodevelopmental conditions, trauma-informed practice, and therapeutic support models
* Ability to work across multiple residential services
* Full UK driving licence preferred due to travel between sites
