Canine Training Instructor:
This role will see you being responsible for the continuation training of our Specialist Detection Dog team including the assessment, selection, and initial training of all Detection Dogs. You will be required to be fully conversant with the following accreditations:
• National Canine Training Accreditation Scheme Private Security (NCTAS P) Explosive Detection Dogs to ensure the canine teams meet their required training hours prior to assessments.
• National Association of Security Dog Users:
* Level 4 Explosives
* Level 3 Drugs
You will be required to complete detailed training records and generate corrective training plans to ensure all dogs meet the Home Office standards and Governing Bodies. You will require a strong understanding of handling training samples and prevention of cross contamination, to ensure correct training is being conducted and for the longevity of samples. Knowledge of the correct storing and transport of specific samples is necessary.
You will liaise with other team members, stakeholders, and outside agencies on a weekly basis, providing regular and accurate updates on the team's performance. You will be fully supported by an experienced, professional.
