Are you passionate about safeguarding the rights of vulnerable individuals and leading a dedicated team in a supportive environment. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate part time Mental Capacity Act Team Manager to join our Adult Social Care service in a beautiful rural setting.
About the Role:
As the Mental Capacity Team Manager, you will lead a specialist team responsible for Mental Capacity Act (MCA) assessments. You will provide expert guidance, ensure legal compliance, and support best practice across the authority. You will work closely with the other Part time Team manager.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and supervise a team of skilled practitioners
2. Oversee MCA and DoLS processes, ensuring timely and lawful decision-making
3. Provide training and consultation to internal teams.
4. Contribute to policy development and service improvement
About You:
5. Qualified Social Worker.
6. In-depth knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and related legislation
7. Proven leadership and team management experience
8. Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills
9. A commitment to person-centred, rights-based practice

Porth Cynnal provides intensive and specialist through-age assessment, care planning and review for those in need of longer term or complex care and support including quality assurance checks court and statutory interventions.
The service consists of the following teams:
