SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | Whalley Range | January Start
Teaching Personnel is pleased to be working with a highly regarded and inclusive primary school in Whalley Range, which is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from January. This full-time role (8:30 AM – 3:30 PM) involves providing personalised support to pupils with Special Educational Needs through a mix of one-to-one and small-group interventions.
The school is widely recognised for its nurturing ethos and strong commitment to inclusion. As part of a supportive and collaborative team, you will play a key role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and make meaningful progress.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver targeted SEN support to pupils individually and within small groups.
* Assist teaching staff in planning and delivering tailored learning activities.
* Support the implementation and regular review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
* Work alongside teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to monitor progress.
* Adapt your approach to meet the evolving needs of each pupil.
What We’re Looking For
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
* Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs.
* A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting learners.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Level 2 Safeguarding training, or willingness to complete it.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
