Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in a growing industry with electrical or mechanical experience? This is a great opportunity to work as a Wind Service Technician as part of a team servicing offshore wind turbines.
Region NCE > SBU NCE Service > Inch Cape. Based in Montrose, Scotland, you will be part of the Service department for Vestas, the OEM responsible for the maintenance and repair of 72 x V236 15MW offshore wind turbines at Inch Cape. You will develop a detailed knowledge of our wind turbines to perform daily maintenance and field service tasks.
Responsibilities
* Carry out periodic service inspections in accordance with Vestas specifications
* Component replacement (electrical and mechanical) and troubleshooting on the systems
* Maintaining and upgrading Service activities and creating follow-up orders
* Ensure safe work practices by complying with Vestas HSE requirements
* Ensure own PPE checks are completed and monthly check sheets are logged
* Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors in the field and maintain contact with office staff
* Register time and material consumption in Vestas systems (e.g., SAP)
Qualifications
* Completion of an electrical or mechanical apprenticeship or practical experience in relevant fields
* Technical education (Electrical/Mechanical) NVQ/HNC/HND/BTEC
* Previous accreditation as an AT/CT under WTSR would be advantageous
* Ability to read/interpret technical drawings to support fault-finding and maintenance
* Good knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and general IT; SAP experience is a plus
* Fluent English
* Full Driving License

Additional Information
Based at the Port in Montrose, you will work on a 2-week on/2-weeks off rotation, travelling by Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) to Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm daily. Those not within a commutable distance to Montrose may be considered as travelling technicians. For the first 18 months, travel to different locations may occur for training purposes.
