Overview
Learning Support Assistant. Report to: Site Supervisor, LSA Manager. Department: Curriculum & Quality. Salary: Actual salary £15,619.67- £15,998.79. Contract: 30 hours (4 days a week)/ 37 weeks a year (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri). Start date: As soon as possible. Homefield is a community-based independent specialist college that offers education, training and independent living skills for people with learning disabilities and communication difficulties. Most of our students are on the Autistic Spectrum with bespoke timetables to suit individual learner’s educational needs and interests.
Responsibilities
Based primarily at our Mountsorrel, Sileby or Barrow-upon-Soar sites, you will be working with young adults who have a wide range of learning difficulties, providing support for teaching, learning and assessment. You will play a vital role in enabling our students to achieve to their maximum potential, preparing them for adulthood and independent living.
Qualifications
* The ideal applicant will have experience of working with young adults with learning difficulties and behaviours of concern with a minimum of level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
* English and Maths at level 2 or above - any applicants without this will not be shortlisted.
