Role Overview
The role will be the Team Lead for the Companion Diagnostics section of Cellular Pathology, with rotation responsibilities including leading Immunohistochemistry, electron microscopy, and dissection.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop the companion diagnostic service through continual improvement, innovation, training, and efficiency initiatives to meet NHS cancer targets and support the North West Genomic Service.
2. Support the team in daily organization, management, and supervision of the laboratory to ensure a timely, quality service.
3. Deliver the companion diagnostic service aligned with the requirements of the Northwest Genomic Hub and patient oncology needs at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals.
4. Participate in staff training and development, and communicate effectively within the team.
5. Attend Senior management meetings to support operational delivery and deputize for the Lead BMS and other Team Leaders when necessary.
