Ardleigh Surgery in Essex are looking to welcome an experienced and motivated finance officer to our team, reporting to the practice manager and GP partners. This role is offered on a part-time basis for 20 hours per week.
There is a wide socio-economic and demographic served within this area which will provide an interesting and varied case mix. You will be joining an enthusiastic team of clinicians and administrators. You will be well supported with on-going professional development (training support, CPD and peer support). The role will contribute to the improving quality of care of our patients across the network of practices.
Main duties of the job
* Bookkeeping, processing and payment of invoices.
* Claiming and monitoring of enhances services.
* GMS/drug payment statements.
* PCN/ARRS finance.
* Reconciliation of all bank statements/accounts.
* Account balance reporting/weekly cashflow reporting.
* Payroll/pension administration.
* Tax payments.
* Processing new starter and leavers information.
* Analysing of both financial and statistical reports.
* Administering of petty cash.
* Profit and loss report.
* Preparing accounts for submission to accounts.
* Attending quarterly/annual account meeting.
* Monthly claims.
* Reviewing and feedback on new contract.

Experience
* Previous experience in primary care finance essential.
