What You'll Be Doing
As an Apprentice Civil Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring our earthworks are delivered right, first time, every time.
You'll work on a rotational pattern of 3 weeks on site and 1 week at university, giving you the perfect balance of academic learning and real-world experience.
During your apprenticeship, you'll grow into the role of a Blackwell Engineer by:
Setting out and surveying earthworks using advanced GNSS technology
Reviewing 3D machine control models and technical drawings
Working closely with site teams to plan safe, efficient construction methods
Preparing essential documentation, including RAMS and QA plans
Supporting site management with short-term planning and commercial tasks
This role is hands-on gaining meaningful engineering experience from day one.
What We're Looking For
To get started, you'll need:
A-levels in Maths, Further Maths, or Physics making you eligible to join Coventry University's Civil Engineering Apprenticeship (Level 4 or Level 6 BEng)
A full UK driving licence
Meet the criteria to join the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) as a student member
A UK citizen or holding permanent leave to remain
HNC, CSCS Black Card, or SMSTS would be beneficial
