The Global Tax Control Group is responsible for ensuring accuracy and quality assurance on the Firm's Tax Provision and certain key tax deliverables, as well as managing relations between the Corporate Tax Group and Finance. The role is unique in that it provides transparency into multiple businesses across different jurisdictions. You will be involved in projects to enhance the governance framework and facilitate change and improvement in the data flow to and from the Corporate Tax Group. > Manage and develop the governance and control framework across the Finance organization with respect to more complex and riskier tax processes > Provide insight to the Finance organization on the underlying tax requirements and policies where information is requested by the Corporate Tax Group > Responsible for timely and accurate BAU month-end, quarterly and annual tax control deliverables > Partner with global stakeholders on project initiatives to enhance the control framework and provide support on adhoc requests > Prepare presentation materials for senior management What we're looking for: The successful candidate for the role will demonstrate the following skills: > Strong communication skills, with a proven track record of managing communications with senior stakeholders. > Appreciation of escalation and risk/ control awareness > Ability to think critically and challenge the status-quo > Self-motivated and initiative to help drive process improvements > Proficient with Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Skills that will help you in the role: > Financial services and/or product knowledge > Tax/ and or accounting experience > Hold a CA/ACA/ACCA qualification Where will you be working? This role will be based in the Glasgow office within the Finance division. The Glasgow Finance Division helps senior management and its individual business units manage the Firm's risk by implementing financial controls over our business activities.
