Skanska Building Services are experts in Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) engineering. We have extensive experience of delivering a huge range of projects in a wide variety of sectors, including commercial, educational, Defence and Data Centres.
Our team are looking for a Project Director to join the team in London.
Working as a Project Director – MEP you will effectively and professionally lead the delivery of large scale multi-disciplinary commercial projects, to ensure the delivery to time, commercial performance, governance and Skanska values are met during all phases of the project’s delivery.
What you'll do:
1. Actively participate in the implementation of the Skanska Building Services Business Strategy for developing and delivering within the commercial market
2. Ensure that the commercial and contractual interests of the company are managed and always protected with responsibility for the revenue and income targets set as part of the project with full profit and loss responsibility.
3. Contribute to the development and delivery of the operating unit plan for which this role applies.
4. Lead, develop and monitor the strategy for enhancing our customer base in the sectors for which this role applies. This will include key account management for customers.
5. Carrying out project reviews and resolving issues within existing projects; through peer reviews, identifying challenges and putting in place effective improvements to systems and process and people.
6. Compile tender submissions and fully control the process to achieve sign off from Senior Leadership Team. Fully articulate the risk profile, form of contract, budget, opportunities and route to margin. Scrutinise supply chain submissions with full awareness of the procurement strategy. Ensuring T&Cs are back-to-back with Skanska.
What you'll bring to the role:
7. Have a strong and experienced engineering background in the MEPH discipline.
8. High level of commercial acumen with a proven track record of working in preconstruction, project procurement and project execution phases for medium to large scale commercial projects.
9. You are likely to have project teams working on large commercial schemes in London and in the surrounding areas, with projects with a MEP value between £10-£50M. Having this experience of delivering such schemes is essential.
