HR, Pay & Pensions Officer – On-Site 5 Days a weekYour newpanyAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR, Pay & Pensions Officer to join a professional, forward‑thinking organisation based in Kensington Olympia. This is a pivotal role within a dynamic HR function, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact across the full employee lifecycle while ensuring the smooth running of payroll and pensions administration for around 200 staff. If you’re looking for a role that blends HR operations, payroll expertise and pensions coordination in a genuinely rewarding environment, this position offers an excellent next step in your career.Your new roleAs the HR, Pay & Pensions Officer, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless HR service from onboarding through to exit, while ensuring accurate and timely payroll and pensions administration in partnership with outsourced providers.Your responsibilities will include:
HR & Recruitment Operations
1. Managing the full employee lifecycle, including drafting offer letters, contracts and variations.
2. Overseeing pre‑employment checks, safeguarding training administration and induction arrangements.
3. Acting as the first point of contact for HR, pay and pensions queries.
4. Maintaining accurate staff records, updating the HRIS, and ensuring GDPRpliance.
5. Supporting leaders with staffing issues, absence management and occupational health processes.
6. Coordinating starter and leaver processes, return‑to‑work and exit interviews.
Payroll Administration
7. Managing monthly payroll for the organisation’s 200 employees.
8. Collating and submitting payroll data to an outsourced provider within agreed timelines.
9. Reviewing payroll reports forpleteness and accuracy, including pay increases and NMWpliance.
10. Ensuring confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive employee data.
Pensions Administration
11. Updating pension contributions, verifying year‑end reports and meeting statutory deadlines.
12. Liaising closely with pension and payroll providers to ensure accurate pay‑overs.
13. Responding to staff pension queries promptly and professionally.
Data,pliance & Reporting
14. Maintaining the Single Central Record across organisation sites.
15. Ensuring HR policies remainpliant with employment legislation.
16. Producing accurate staff lists and supporting probation and appraisal processes.
This is a full‑time, permanent, year‑round role ( hours per week) offering variety, autonomy and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a busy and supportive HR team.What you’ll need to succeedTo thrive in this role, you will bring:
17. Previous HR and Payroll experience, ideally within an education environment.
18. Familiarity with systems such as Cintra or Breathe HR (highly advantageous).
19. Strong organisation, accuracy and attention to detail.
20. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
21. Excellent interpersonal,munication and administrative skills.
22. Confidence liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
23. High levels of discretion, professionalism and respect for confidentiality.
24. Strong IT literacy and excellent written English.
25. A positive, diplomatic and proactive approach to problem‑solving.
