Asbestos Surveyor – P402 Qualified

engstaff-In Recruiting is recruiting on behalf of its client for an experienced and motivated Asbestos Surveyor to join a growing team specialising in social housing refurbishment and demolition surveys across kitchens, bathrooms, and void properties.
This role is ideal for a professional who is customer-focused, organised, and confident working independently within occupied residential environments. The current project is based across the Birmingham suburbs.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264 guidance.
* Conduct surveys within:
* Kitchens
* Bathrooms
* Void flats/properties
* Occupied residential dwellings
* Manage and accurately record survey data using online reporting software.
* Prepare reports and maintain accurate documentation using Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Take, manage, and dispatch asbestos samples to UKAS accredited laboratories.
* Interpret asbestos analysis results and complete survey reporting accordingly.
* Deliver excellent customer service while working in residents’ homes.
* Maintain strong client relationships and represent the business professionally at all times.
* Complete approximately 15 surveys per week.
* Participate in an on-call emergency rota for asbestos releases and related incidents.
Requirements
* BOHS P402 qualification (essential).
* Proven experience carrying out refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys.
* Good understanding of HSG264 guidance and asbestos legislation.
* Experience working within social housing environments is highly beneficial.
* Competent in using:
* Online survey/reporting software
* Microsoft Word
* Microsoft Excel
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Ability to attend the East Grinstead head office one day per month.
