Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large and inclusive secondary school in Bury that is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with additional learning needs. April 2026 start. £ per month, dependent on experience and qualifications. Paid weekly, every Friday via PAYE. CPD training available This rewarding role involves working closely with students who may have a range of needs including Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), cognitive difficulties, and other special educational needs (SEN). You will play a vital part in their day-to-day school life, promoting positive engagement and supporting their academic, emotional, and social development. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, both in and out of the classroom. Support students in developing their confidence, communication skills, and independence. Assist with implementing the strategies outlined in students' Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), in collaboration with the SENCO and class teachers. Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe, supportive environment for all learners. Support pupils during break/lunch times and other school routines to encourage inclusion and positive social interactions. Contribute to record keeping and progress tracking for students you work with.
