Job Description
Waldron Engineering and Construction, Inc. is seeking an electrical engineering graduate to join its consulting engineering team in the power industry. The position focuses on designing Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) distribution systems for Combined Heat & Power (CHP) plants, campus and district energy systems, and municipal scale power facilities. The role also provides engineering support for utility interconnections and generator protection schemes, including Load Flow Analysis, Short Circuit Studies, Coordination Studies, One Line Diagrams, Protection Schemes, and Motor Control circuits.
Responsibilities
* Develop Design Documents (One Lines, Cable/Wire Schedules, Interconnect Diagrams, equipment specifications, etc.) for new facilities
* Write Specifications for purchase of electrical equipment
* Review electrical equipment submittals and ensure proper coordination with overall design; ensure equipment meets design intent of the project.
* Perform calculations and analysis of electrical systems
* Travel to client sites during construction
* Provide on-site commissioning support
* 10-20% travel required
