About the Team and Role
Our Data Center Infrastructure team provides the critical physical infrastructure that supports our Oracle Core Financial tools and other essential business systems. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to manage physical IT assets and optimize their lifecycle within our ERP ecosystem.
Job Summary
The ERP Asset Management Specialist will oversee the asset management lifecycle of all data center physical infrastructure components that support our Oracle Core Financial tools. This role requires deep expertise in asset management and maintenance management modules within our ERP system. The specialist will bridge the gap between network deployment engineers and technicians and the broader ERP ecosystem and financial teams, ensuring accurate inventory, optimizing asset utilization, and driving efficiency through data management and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* ERP Module Management & Expertise
o Serve as the subject matter expert for asset management and maintenance management modules within the Oracle Core Financials ERP system.
o Lead administration, configuration, and ongoing optimization of these modules to accurately track and manage data center physical assets.
o Collaborate with IT, Finance, and Procurement to ensure seamless data flow across the ERP ecosystem.
* Physical Asset Lifecycle Management
o Oversee the complete lifecycle of data center physical assets (servers, storage, networking equipment, rack PDUs, patch panels, cabling, UPSs, and other infrastructure).
o Maintain and update the asset management system with accurate records from procurement through deployment, maintenance, and disposal.
o Track detailed physical locations, configurations, and relationships of all IT assets.
* Support & Collaboration
o Provide central support and technical assistance to network deployment engineers and technicians, ensuring accurate asset recording and policy adherence.
o Act as primary liaison between Data Center Infrastructure and other ERP-related teams (Finance, Procurement, ITSM) to ensure consistent data, processes, and reporting.
o Develop and deliver training and documentation for asset management policies and system usage.
* Data Analysis & Reporting
o Generate reports on asset status, utilization, depreciation, and lifecycle for management review.
o Conduct audits and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
o Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities to improve asset utilization and cost control.
* Maintenance & Compliance
o Manage maintenance schedules and records for data center assets within the ERP system.
o Coordinate with vendors regarding warranties, repairs, and disposals.
o Support internal controls and audit requirements related to asset management.
o Contribute to security protocol implementation for physical assets.
Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* Experience
o Minimum 5 years in IT asset management, inventory control, or data center operations in an enterprise environment.
o Experience managing asset management and/or maintenance management modules in a major ERP system (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).
o Strong understanding of data center infrastructure management (DCIM).
* Technical Skills
o Proficiency with ERP asset management and maintenance functionalities.
o Understanding of IT asset lifecycle management.
o Familiarity with hardware/software asset tracking tools and inventory software.
o Knowledge of data center hardware and configurations.
o Ability to analyze complex data and generate detailed reports.
* Soft Skills
o High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
o Problem-solving and root-cause analysis abilities.
o Strong communication and collaboration across functions.
o Customer-service oriented with a proactive, collaborative approach.
Preferred Qualifications
* ITIL v4 certification(s).
* Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite or Oracle Cloud ERP for Asset Management.
* Familiarity with CMDBs and their integration with asset management.
* Experience with ServiceNow Software and Hardware Asset Management.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: Base salary may vary by location. Seattle, WA; Washington, DC; New York City: $120,000 – $143,000. Denver: $105,000 – $130,000.
Equity: Eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.
