About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Adult Provision team at Bede Campus, supporting adult learners to achieve their study goals while developing the confidence, skills, and independence needed for everyday life and work. The role involves delivering tailored learner support through one-to-one interventions, workshops, in-class support, and targeted strategies that promote learner retention, achievement, and progression.
Working closely with curriculum and support teams, the successful candidate will help learners overcome barriers to education and reach their full potential. This rewarding role also offers excellent opportunities for continuous professional development, ongoing training, and the chance to develop experience in a supportive and learner-focused educational environment
Role Responsibilities
•Provide targeted learner support through one-to-one sessions, workshops, small group interventions, and in-class support.
•Support learners to develop study skills, confidence, resilience, time management, and independent learning strategies.
•Monitor learner attendance, progress, and engagement, taking appropriate action to support retention and achievement.
•Maintain accurate learner records and update ILPs, ProMonitor, and other college systems in line with procedures.
Qualifications
•GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent).
•Relevant Level 3 qualification in Education and Training or Learning Support, .
Essential Skills & Experience
•Experience supporting adult learners or learners with additional support needs within an educational or training environment.
•Strong understanding of barriers to learning and strategies to promote learner engagement and achievement.
•Ability to deliver effective one-to-one and small group support interventions.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive learner relationships.
•Experience maintaining accurate learner records and using digital systems effectively.
•Good organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise workload effectively.
•Confident use of digital learning technologies and online learning platforms.
•Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider curriculum and learner support team.
