Junior Service Designer – Public Sector Location: London (Hybrid) Salary: Up to £55,000 Clearance: Active SC clearance required Portfolio or examples of work required We’re looking for a Junior Service Designer who’s ready to take the next step in their career and gain hands-on experience in a consulting environment. This is an ideal role for someone with a foundation in service design who’s eager to work on real-world challenges, learn from experienced practitioners, and contribute to services that make a meaningful impact across the UK public sector. What You’ll Do: Support service design activities across discovery, alpha, and beta phases Contribute to user research, journey mapping, and service blueprinting Help visualise complex systems and identify opportunities for improvement Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in agile delivery environments Apply GDS service standards and inclusive design principles What You’ll Bring: 2 years experience in service design or a related discipline A portfolio or examples of work that show your thinking and approach A strong interest in public sector transformation and user-centred design Excellent communication and collaboration skills Active SC clearance and 5 years of continuous UK residency This is a fantastic opportunity to build your consulting experience, grow your design skills, and work on services that matter.
