Role Overview
Position: Content Editor –WIRED Consulting
Location: London,GB
The Content Editor will produce rigorously researched, thought‑provoking content aligned with WIRED Consulting’s brand and client objectives. The role involves research, commissioning, editing, production, and writing, and also supports internal teams and external professionals to deliver high‑quality, business‑focused content.
Responsibilities
* Work with the Director of Content, consultants, and external clients to develop thought‑leadership content from insight to execution.
* Lead research, generate ideas, create synopses, book interviews, and manage the editorial process for content in all formats.
* Write, edit, and proofread content, ensuring brand consistency and client alignment.
* Collaborate with design teams to produce design briefs and illustrations that support the narrative.
* Support video storyboarding, script‑writing, and production as required.
* Maintain project deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Build and maintain a network of trusted writers and researchers.
* Assist in sales, marketing, and business development initiatives, including drafting social copy and supporting new‑business pitches.
* Contribute to knowledge‑sharing initiatives and keep the team informed on key industry trends.
Qualifications
* Minimum 5+years of experience in high‑quality content production, research, and editing.
* Strong track record of producing in‑depth analysis on technology, business trends, and global affairs.
* Excellent editorial skills: research, commissioning, editing, and production.
* Experience managing external writers and optimizing content flow.
* Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and deliver on ambitious goals.
* Strong communication, problem‑solving, and creative thinking skills.
* Passion for technology, innovation, and business‑focused journalism.
* Excellent understanding of the WIRED brand and its audience.
