Field Service Engineer

Salary: £31k – £39k per year

Job Description:
Service Engineer (Field/Mobile Mechanic/Vehicle Technician) based in Middlesbrough. You will work within a small territory offering comprehensive on‑the‑job training, extensive benefits and progression routes. This is a great opportunity for vehicle technicians looking to move into the forklift industry as the company will fully train. You need to demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, ideally have engine diagnostics and some basic electrical skills.

Responsibilities:
* Carry out PPM and breakdown on material handling machinery on a field service engineering basis
* Reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area
* Complete comprehensive training to get fully competent on all machinery and equipment
* Spares placed in van overnight
Qualifications:
* Experience with plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment; automotive technicians/motor trade suitable
* Engine diagnostics and some basic electrical skills
* Ideally hold a Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject
