About ARU:
ARU is a global university transforming lives through innovative, inclusive and entrepreneurial education and research. ARU holds a Gold award for the quality of its education, awarded through the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).
ARUs research institutes and four faculties bridge scientific, technical and creative fields. We deliver impactful research which tackles pressing issues and makes a real difference to our communities. Our academic excellence has been recognised by the UKs Higher Education funding bodies, with 16 of our research areas assessed as world leading. We are the largest provider of Nursing, Midwifery, Health and Social Care students in the East of England, and we are also among the UKs leading universities for degree apprenticeship provision, working with hundreds of employers across the UK.
About the Role:
Based within our Strategic Planning and Performance (SP&P) team, youll support the delivery of monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) activities across the University. Your priority will be collecting, analysing, and presenting data to generate insights that inform decision-making and demonstrate the impact of our programmes. Youll play a key role in evaluating our Access and Participation Plan (APP) interventions and other university projects, working closely with colleagues across academic and professional services teams. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in evaluation while contributing to ARUs commitment to widening participation and evidence-based practice in Higher Education.
With a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, youll bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and interpret both quantitative and qualitative data. Experience of using tools such as Excel, Power BI or Qlik Sense to produce clear insights and visualisations will be key. Knowledge of the UK Higher Education sector, including Access and Participation Plans (APP), and a commitment to widening participation will be an advantage. Youll also need excellent communication and organisational skills, with the confidence to work collaboratively across teams and adapt to changing priorities.
